Awareness, education
and community connection.
NOPDERVMH is a non-clinical organisation. Our activities focus on sharing information, reducing stigma, supporting respectful community conversations and building the capacity to do this work responsibly.
Mental-Health Awareness and Education
We develop or share accessible information and support community conversations about mental wellbeing, stigma and help-seeking.
Why It Matters
Clear, accessible information helps communities talk about mental health with less stigma and more understanding.
Who It Helps
General public and community groups seeking accurate, culturally responsive information.

Substance-Use Awareness
We aim to support informed, respectful conversations about substance use, stigma, community inclusion and reintegration. This work is educational and community-based; it is not detoxification, treatment or rehabilitation.
Why It Matters
Substance use is too often met with stigma rather than being recognised and addressed as a public health and community concern.
Who It Helps
Communities seeking non-clinical, educational conversations about substance use and reintegration.

Community Engagement
Where a local activity is approved, we work with a named coordinator or partner to plan respectful community engagement using approved materials and clear safety boundaries. No location is listed as active solely because a volunteer lives there.
Why It Matters
Respectful, locally coordinated engagement builds trust and ensures activities are safe and relevant.
Who It Helps
Local groups, schools and approved community partners.

Volunteer and Partner Capacity
Remote volunteers worldwide may contribute to grants research, proposal development, communications, digital access, translation, monitoring and learning, volunteer coordination and other approved organisational tasks.
Why It Matters
Our capacity to do this work responsibly depends on the skills and time volunteers worldwide are willing to contribute.
Who It Helps
Skilled volunteers anywhere in the world who want to contribute remotely.

Learning and Research
We use proportionate, ethical learning to understand whether approved activities are useful. Any data collection should be voluntary, privacy-reviewed and limited to what is necessary. We do not publish personal case histories or unsupported clinical outcome claims.
Why It Matters
Responsible learning helps us improve approved activities and partnerships over time.
Who It Helps
Our own programme teams, partners and the communities we work with.

How we decide where to work
In-person or community-facing work is offered only where NOPDERVMH has confirmed local programme capacity, a responsible local supervisor or partner, approved materials and safeguarding/referral arrangements.
